Drywall dust is not regular dust and it does not behave like it. It stays airborne for hours, it settles onto every ledge in the house, and a damp cloth turns it into a paste that dries back down as a white haze. Wipe a new house without vacuuming first and the owner will still be finding that film on the baseboards months later. We vacuum with HEPA filtration from the top of the room down, ceiling edges, fan blades, window frames, then the walls, then the floors, and only after that does anything wet touch a surface. Returns and supply vents get vacuumed as well, because the system will pull whatever is left back into circulation.
New construction in Lake Nona, Horizon West and Winter Garden gets handed over with the labels still on it. Adhesive strips run around the shower glass, stickers sit on every window pane and every appliance door, and the range still carries protective film across the front. Those come off with the right solvent and a plastic blade, not a razor dragged across coated glass. Paint spatter lands on hinges, outlet covers, tile and door hardware, and each spot has to be picked off one at a time. Quartz and new LVP go in unsealed, so they get products that will not etch the stone or leave residue sitting in the seams.

Rough clean, final clean, touch up
Most jobs need more than one pass and pretending otherwise leads straight to a callback. A rough clean after trim and paint clears the bulk debris so the finish trades can work in a usable space. The final clean happens once the last trade is gone, and that is the detail visit, the one the owner walks. A touch up right before handover catches what got tracked in during the final days, and on a busy site that is a real problem rather than a formality.
Builders, remodelers and owners all get the same setup, a written scope per area and a price for the visit agreed before we start. We coordinate with your superintendent on when power and water are live, since neither can be assumed on a new build. Crews bring their own vacuums, extension poles, ladders and pads, so nothing gets borrowed from the site. Why does drywall dust keep coming back after cleaning?
Because it was wiped instead of vacuumed. A cloth throws the fine particles into the air and onto ledges nobody sees, and every time the air handler runs it redistributes them across the house. The fix is HEPA vacuuming from the ceiling down, vents and returns included, before anything wet gets used. Done in that order it stops, and done in the wrong order it keeps returning for months.
Do you clean during construction or only at the end?
Both, and they are priced separately because they are different work. A rough clean during the build deals with debris, dust knockdown and keeping the trades moving. The final clean is detail work on finished surfaces and it needs the site to be complete. Many jobs also want a short touch up the morning of handover, which is quick and cheap next to redoing the final.
Will your products damage new quartz or unsealed floors?
No, because the product gets matched to what is actually installed and we ask before we start. New quartz, LVP, natural stone and freshly finished wood each take different handling, and the wrong cleaner leaves a haze or an etch that shows under the lights. We stay with neutral products on new surfaces and keep water to a minimum on floating floors so nothing works into the seams. If a manufacturer sheet calls for something specific, bring it to the walk and we will follow it.
